Brief Biography

I was born in kutaber; West of Dessie, Amhara region, Ethiopia in 1991. I received my BSc in July, 2016 in Biomedical Engineering from Addis Ababa Institute of Technology, Addis Ababa University, Gulele sub-city, addis Ababa, Ethiopia. I am currently a MSc student since Feb, 2018 at the department of biomedical engineering and systems at Cairo university, Giza, Cairo, Egypt. I had taken many courses in the areas of Medical instrumentation and Image processing during my undergraduate study. The Medical Algorithms, Numerical Methods, Technical Writing and Communication, Medical Laser, Artificial Intelligence, Digital Signal Processing, Tissue Characterization using Ultrasound are among the courses I have taken in my MSc program. I received a research and development support from the Intra_Africa Academic Mobility Scheme of the Education, Audiovisual and Culture Executive Agency of the European Commission (EACEA).

- Bachelor of Science(BSc) degree in Biomedical Engineering (stream; Biomedical Instrumentation and Image processing) from Addis Ababa Institute of Technology, Addis Ababa University.

- Participated and certified in “ The 1st Addis Ababa University creativity,  innovation and Arts forum” prepared by Addis Ababa University students union and held at Addis Ababa University from 15 17 June 2016.

- Fully awarded the outstanding performance and the Winner of “ The 2015 African Biomedical  Engineers Innovators summer school” project competition in the category of High Social Impact held in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia from 11 15 February 2016.

- Participated and certified in the Digital Opportunity Trust (DOT) three-day Business Skill and Career Development Training held in Addis Ababa Institute of Technology, Addis Ababa University from 31st December 2015 to 2nd January 2016.

- Awarded for a Medal in “The Global Entrepreneurship Training 2015” competition with a highest expectation held in Addis Ababa Institute of Technology (AAiT), Addis Ababa University, Addis Ababa, Ethiopia jointly with Handong Global University (HGU), Pohang, Korea from 10 18 July 2015.

- Participated and certified in “The African Biomedical Engineers Innovators summer school program and competition” held in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia from 11 15 January 2016 and in the one which held in Kampala, Uganda from  6 10 August 2012. And many more
