Brief Biography

Muhammad A. Rushdi was born in Urbana, Illinois. He received B.Sc. (2001) and M.Sc. (2005) degrees in Biomedical Engineering and Systems and a B.Sc. degree in Mathematics (2003) from Cairo University, Giza, Egypt. He received M.Sc. (2012) and Ph.D. (2013) degrees in Computer and Information Science and Engineering from the University of Florida at Gainesville, FL, USA. He is currently an assistant professor at the Department of Biomedical Engineering and Systems at Cairo University, Giza, Egypt. He has been teaching courses on artificial intelligence, robotics, biomedical signal processing, measurements and instrumentation, optimization, algorithms, and numerical methods. His research interests include artificial intelligence, machine learning, image processing, computer vision, computational modeling and applied mathematics. He received research and development support from EACEA, ITIDA, Flat6Labs, and French Tech Ticket.
