Brief Biography

I am a professor of mathematics in the Department of Mathematics, Faculty of Science, Cairo University, Egypt since June 2005. I have  obtained my Bachelor of Science-Mathematics from Cairo University in 1987. Then I was appointed as a teaching assistant in the same department  from this year till 1994. I obtained my Master and PhD degrees in mathematics from Cairo University in 1991 and 1994 respectively. In December 1994 I became a full faculty, assistant professor, then I have promoted to be an associate professor in 1999. My main work is on Shannon sampling theory and its generalizations associated with differential, integral, difference, integro-differential and fractional eigenvalue problems. I am an Alexander von Humboldt fellow since 1996.
